Global News & Maps Monthy is a unique program that teaches global studies, geography, and current events in one great package, nine times a year!

With a subscription to Global News and Maps Monthly, you receive two copies of a large, full-color, double-sided wall map poster, as well as a teacher's guide, nine times a year. Two identical News Maps will be sent directly to your school every month to let you display both sides of the poster at the same time.

On one side of the wall map is a detailed map of the featured country, as well as important facts about that country, its flag, and its type of government. The other side shows a different world map projection each month with an explanation of that projection.

Each month you also receive an eight-page teacher's guide with reproducible background readings about the featured country, its recent history, leader, older history, geography, and culture. Also included are reproducible quizzes, map exercises, debate and discussion questions and more.

Your monthly package also includes a supplement that summarizes important current stories about other countries in the news that month. Students can plot these countries on the world projection map.
